So, what are some of the things that all rc monster trucks have in common?
Almost all monster trucks share some of the same basic design characteristics.
These being:
1. Independent A-arm or cantilever suspension. With extra long arms to maximize suspension travel distance.
2. Fully adjustable suspensions. Adjust ride height, droop, camber, caster and toe in and out to just name a few.
3. Large over-sized tires for high ground clearance.
4. Over sized or multiple shocks per wheel. For improved handling.
5. Large engines or motors for exceptional torque and acceleration.
6. Two or three speed shift on the fly transmissions. Enabling them to launch off the line with authority and also reach top speeds will over thirty miles an hour.
7. Some nitro powered trucks have reverse build into the transmission.
There are many things to consider when you are choosing your new rc monster truck.
One of the first things is where are you going to run, indoors or outdoors?
Indoors you are going to want an electric powered truck. While outdoors you can run either a nitro or electric powered monster truck.
