one bad engine
by: Anonymous

my thoughts are your engine is just plain worn out.everything you described are the symptoms of a worn out engine, and no amount of tuning is going to help.you need a new 3.3 engine.buy one off ebay.inseam

Traxxas 3.3 tuning help.
by: Doug

Jeff, I would first check to see if the glow plug is not fouled or shorted out. If you are using EZ-Start are you getting a green light telling you the plug is OK? If not change glow plug. Next I would check for air leaks in the fuel pressure line and fuel supply line. If in doubt replace both lines. Are you cleaning and re-oiling your air filter?

If none other these things seem to be your problem, I would set the carb back to factory settings, go through breakin procedure again and tune the carb from that point.

This link to Traxxas support has many helpful tips and ideas.
