Lose carb on a HPI Savage 25

I have a Savage 25 with a carb that will turn side to side pretty easy. I tried to tighten up the screw on the side but it did not tighten up the carb. Then I tried to remove the carb to check the o-ring thats on the bottom of the carb. I cannot get the carb out. Is there a special trick to removing the carb???
Please help.
