With our RC Trucks and Cars being highly engineered to scale vehicles, they are going to require many rc specialty tools. These Rc Tools a unique to are hobby and you do need to consider having some of them in your tool box.
This page is going to be some what different from most of the other pages. I do not what to bore you with too many details, All I am going to do is list and give a small description of some rc specialty tools needed. This is just going to be a looked at some of the specialty tools needed, by no means is it a complete list.
With all RC Trucks and Cars requiring some rc specialty tools that are used on all. There are some specialty tools that are going to be unique to your vehicle.
This list of Rc Tools is in no kind of order, just a list of specialty tools to consider or not. Depending on what type of RC vehicle you have, electric or nitro, may determine which of these rc tools you may or may not need in your tool box. So, let's get at it.
The Hobby Knife and extra Blades
For cleaning burrs off or trimming parts so they fit better. A much used tool in my tool box.
A Dremel Tool - A highly used and needed specialty tool. Has many uses, I feel that it is almost a necessity to have in your tool box.
Lexan Scissors - Another much needed and used rc tool. This in my opinion is a must have tool. Bodies always need trimming and fixing.
Body Reamer - A great specialty tool for getting that new body to fit just right and altering that old body.
4-way Wrench - One of the most used tools in your tool box. You Rc vehicle may have had one included, but you may what to consider a after market high quality one.
Clutch Tool - This specialty tool is a great help in removing and reinstalling your clutches. It takes the head ache out of dealing with those pesty clutch springs.
Flywheel Wrench - Will not damage the flywheel while you are removing the flywheel nut. Another great specialty tool and almost a must have.
Vise - You are going to need some way of holding parts while you are modifying them or trimming them. A must used and needed tool on your work bench.
Soldering Gun - A must have specialty tool, if you are thinking of building your own battery packs or wiring electric motors or ESCs. It also has many other uses.
Third Hand - Oh what a great specialty tool this is. It gives you a way of holding small parts while you are soldering or modifying. I feel it is another must have.
Pick Set - Another of the much used specialty tools. Great for cleaning up those hard to reach places. Getting parts into and out of those hard to reach places. Plus, getting that packed in dirt out of bolt and screw heads.
There could be and is many more specialty tools available.
This has been a quick look at some of the specialty tools I feel need to be considered.
Some of these RC Tools can be used by all of us, while others are just for the electric or nitro vehicles.
