Are you needing a Rc Tool Box?

Let us explore some creative ideas for a tool box. The great thing is that there is many great options on the market today for a tool box.

Many are not designed as a tool box, but they do work great.

So, you have purchased your RC Truck, Truggy, Buggy or Car and looking for some ideas for a RC Tool Box. I am going to give you some ideas I have tried and tool boxes I have seen others using.

I am not suggesting that you use any of these, just giving you ideas on what I think works will. As far as what tools to equip your tool box with I do explain some of them in the section on RC Tools.

One of the first things you need to keep in mind is that your RC Tool Box needs to be easily transported. I have found that a small compact tool box works the best for me.

Since you are going to be hauling your RC Vehicles, spare parts, fuel ( if you have a nitro vehicle), transmitter, charger and what ever else you feel is necessary. So, having a compact RC Tool Box I find much easier to transport and takes up much less space.

On the other hand your RC Tool Box does need to be big enough to keep every thing organized.

Since RCing requires a fairly large collection Rc Tools, I find that either a tiered or a tool box with drawers works the best for me.

When you are at the "Race" or just out bashing around you are going to want to have your Rc Tools well organized.

Having your tools well organized is going to be helpful when repairs are needed or if you need to change your setup.

Do keep this in mind when choosing a RC Tool Box.

One of the many mistakes I made was to choose my tool box before I had all my RC Tools. On looking back on it I wish I would have purchased many of my tools first then choose my RC Tool Box.

The rc tool box that I did choose does a great job, it carries all my tools, is compact and easy to transport, it just does not keep everything as organized as I would like.

The different Specialty Tools you may need to consider.

The more you run your rc vehicle or vehicles you are going find the need to have a way to store and transport your spare parts.

You are going to yourself collecting many spare parts for each of your vehicles.

Now how in the world are you going to keep all these spare parts organized?

I have found that having a Rc Tool box just for spare parts works very well for me. What I like is a multi drawer tool box for my spare parts.

Plastic fishing tackle boxes work great for both a RC Tool Box and spare parts box. If you do some shopping around you can find these at a very reasonable price.

I have never tried this, but garage sales could be a great source for both your rc tool box and spare parts box.

Something else I have found to be very helpful, is if you have more than one RC vehicle is to have a spare parts box for each vehicle.

That way it is easy to keep parts organized. That way you are not searching through many parts trying to find the needed parts. I have found some very economical ways to store my spare parts.

Rc Tool Box picture I have found that small compartmentalized plastic containers to be a great help. The ones I use I are the ones designed for fishing tackle.

Another small container I find very useful is the plastic baby food containers. I use the baby food containers for many different things, storing nuts and bolts and cleaning solvents.

They also make a great way to clean parts. Put a little cleaning solution in them and soak parts in them. They reseal nicely, so you can keep reusing them, with no need to throw your cleaning solution away.

I have found that baby food containers to have many uses, so hopefully someone you know or a family member has a baby, so you can get your hands on the containers.

I am just giving you some ideas as to what may or could work. Just keep your eyes open never know when a good idea will present it's self. If you do come across something that works great for you share with me and I will add it to the web site for all to use.

Do remember that the tool boxes and storage containers that I have pictured are for ideas only. I am not endorsing any of them in any way. I am just using them as examples only.

Something else to keep in mind is your work area. I know for some of you this is one area that could present a problem.

Just keep in mind that you are going to need some kind of work space. I get great pleasure out of fixing and hopping up my rc vehicles. If you need ideas for your work space check out the page on work benches.
