How do you improve on a already great monster truck the LST. Will Team Losi™ has done it with the LST2 one of the most unique Rc Monster Truck ever built!
Now Team Losi™ has gone one step further and redesigned the LST and released the LST2.
When Team Losi™ first introduced the LST (Losi Super Truck) many thought that it was way over priced for the market, will many had to change their opinion.
Like its earlier cousin the LST-2 has taken the market by storm.

Listening to its customers Team Losi™ learned what needed to be improved and redesigned.
The LST-2 is stronger, faster and just as agile, maybe better then its predecessor.
With the LST being name Radio Controlled Car Action's™ 2005 Monster Truck of the Year, Team Losi's™ designers and engineers had their work cut out for them.
What they did was to find the weak points on the LST and try to improve on them.
Did they succeed?
One of the first things they looked at in designing the LST2 was its suspension.
With the LST being know for its great handling characteristics both on and off the race track,
Team Losi™ did not want to loose this ability. One of the weak points on the LST was its suspension arms, so the LST2 features new reinforced upper and lower H-arms.
Add to these new H-arms bigger front spindles and castor blocks and new larger rear hub carriers, while keeping the suspension geometry the same the LST2 handles the same but is more durable.
This new suspension can now withstand those huge jumps and stunts and even the extreme crash with out breaking any suspension parts.
Next Team Losi™ looked at the driveline. The LST2 features bigger beefier axles and driveshafts, along with over-sized axle bearings.
To add even more durability Team Losi™ has added large 20mm drive hexes.
To add even more strength and durability to the driveline blue anodized aluminum differential cases are used on both front and rear differentials. These aluminum cases eliminate almost all gearbox flex and stress while adding a custom look to the LST2.
Aluminum differential cases are most often an expensive upgrade on many other rc monster trucks, but not the LST2, they are standard equipment.
One of the first things most people noticed on the LST was it big over-sized Mega-Shocks. These same Mega-Shocks that were used on the LST with few new features.
The shocks on the LST2 now have threaded shock bodies with pre-load adjustment collars. Now doing any tuning to ride height or shock performance is much easier and quicker.
Team Losi™ has added captured O-rings to the adjusting collars to prevent the collars from moving under any conditions.
One area that Team Losi&trade listened to its customers was the gear cover over the slipper clutch and 2 speed spur gear.
The cover on the LST was just an outer cover and would allow dirt and debris to get behind it and foul the 2 speed gears and slipper clutch.
On the LST2 a new inner cover has been designed that mounts to ladder braces on the chassis and that keys into the outer cover.
This new inner and outer gear cover combination makes it nearly impossible for any dirt, small rocks or debris to get into the 2 speed gears and slipper clutch.
One item on the LST that caused a lot of confusion and frustration was the three piece clutch bell with aluminum pinion gears.
The LST2 now features a one piece steel clutch bell with steel pinion gears that not only improves both acceleration and top end speed it is lighter, more durable and simpler.
Team Losi™ did not just stop at just these refinements, they felt that the LST2 needed a new more powerful power plant.
So out goes the Mach 426 and in its place the all new Mach 427.
The Mach 427 with its revised tuned exhaust system adds both more torque and top end speed to the LST2. The Mach 427 features an all new black crankcase, a seven port sleeve, if you count the exhaust port, for better performance, a slide carburetor and an over-sized orange anodized heat sink head.
The Mach 427 also comes equipped with Team Losi's™ hi-torque Spin-Start starting system.
To get all this power to the ground the LST2 features aluminum clutch shoes for better low end punch instead of the composite clutch shoes that were used on the LST.
To keep the LST2 running Team Losi™ as increased the fuel tank capacity from 171cc to 220cc, that is another 49cc more fuel capacity.
With the addition of the larger fuel tank the battery pack is now mounted in a lower receiver pack holder under the fuel tank.
With Team Losi&trade including in the RTR package a 5 cell 1100mah battery pack, you no longer need to buy any AA batteries for the receiver.
To add one more thing to the LST-2 RTR package, Team Losi™ has also included JR's™ XS3 synthesized computer FM radio system and RS300 receiver.
This will make changing frequencies much easier, you no longer need to have different crystals when you go to the race track, the XS3 gives you the ability to choose an open frequency and keep on racing.
The LST-2 has already proved itself as a race winner at World events and many local tracks.
Besides that the LST2 is also a great backyard basher, it is built to withstand all the abuse and punishment you can throw at it.
Besides being one tough and fast rc monster truck the LST-2 is highly customizable, with Team Losi™ and many other companies offering many hop-up parts and accessories.
So, all that is needed to have fun with LST2 is you!!
