In designing the 8ight Team Losi™ throw away everything from past buggies and started with a blank design sheet.
What they came up with is some thing that is completely new and exciting.
The list of new, innovative and sophisticated features is almost endless. The use of high-tech materials, new technology and cutting edge design has separated this buggy from all other 1/8th scale buggies on the market today.
On a closer look at the 8ight the first thing you notice a completely new look.
But it does not end there handling has been vastly improved, plus it is easy to maintain and tune, plus the most important thing, it is easy to drive FAST!!
The list of new features is almost endless. To highlight a few of the new features of the 8ight, the engine is centrally mounted, over-sized shocks, a new clutch design and the list goes on and on!!
With the 8ight Team Losi™ has raised the bar when it comes to the design, handling, maintenance and tuning of your 1/8th scale nitro buggy. This maybe a look at what is to come from other manufacturers, but till then the 8ight is a breed of its own.
The only downfall of Team losi™ and the 8ight is there is a little miss match parts wise. Some bearings are SAE while others are metric this could be confusing when it comes time to replace bearings. The most obvious is the axle bearings , outers are metric - 8x14x4mm, while the inners are SAE 0.5x0.75 inch.
If you are considering an 8ight remember this is an American built buggy. All bolts, nuts and screws are SAE, except wheel hubs and nuts. You will need SAE tools to work on your new 8ight.
Unique narrow chassis configuration for quicker handling and ground clearance.
Innovative drive train layout with centrally mounted engine and off-set rear differential.
Over-sized shocks with threaded hard anodized shock bodies.
Centrally located and forward facing dual stage air cleaner, with front mounting hanger on center differential, avoiding any interference with brake and throttle linkage.
Key Features of the 8ight cont:
C-hub steering assembly that is held in place by grooved non-threaded 4mm pins held in place by a grub screw, makes for easy removal of steering block when needed.
